Professional Development and Electronic Portfolios Transformed

This session demonstrates how Maine School Administrative District 52 is moving both their professional development from old-school to a continuous process and student portfolios from paper to digital through web 2.0 tools. Through an open source program, MyePort, a structure has been implemented for teachers and students to access at any time. Participants become familiar with using tools like wikis, blogs, and discussion boards as vehicles for supporting professional development and student portfolios. Participants are shown all of these tools inlive installations..
